The refurbishment of 713 ensuite bedrooms in 9 blocks of student accommodation.

The opportunity

The works included the construction of 124 kitchens, common areas, reception areas, laundry rooms, disabled toilet facilities, common rooms and lifts. External balcony repairs and rendering repairs were also included in the scope of work.

The challenge

The main challenge of this project was the number of units required to be completed within the project timescale. This required robust programming of delivery schedules, on and off site works and snagging to ensure that the time, cost, and quality requirements were achieved.

The outcome

The project was successfully delivered the client’s objectives in terms of time, cost and quality.
