Raising The Bar
Thursday 17th July 2025
We are so proud of our team and their training achievements this year. Their hard work and commitment to learning is what enables us to grow as a business and reach new heights. But don’t let us tell you about it, listen to them in their own words:
“Becoming a Chartered Member of the CIOB has been a real milestone for me, both professionally and personally. I didn’t follow the traditional university route into the industry; instead, I built up hands-on experience and worked my way through different roles, learning on the job and gradually refining where I wanted to go. Studying for the CIOB chartership alongside work was a challenge at times, but it gave me the chance to step back, reflect on how far I’ve come, and consolidate the knowledge I’ve picked up over the years. It’s made me more confident in my role, more intentional in how I lead projects, and proud to now have those four letters after my name. It feels like proper recognition of the journey I’ve been on and a launchpad for the next chapter.”
“Completing my level 6 CIM was a challenge, but I am beyond proud of my achievement and am one step closer to gaining my chartership. Having worked in Marketing for 5+ years, I have gained a lot of practical experience, however, learning more theory and exploring its application within the business has allowed me to vastly improve my skills. I have a raft of exciting plans that I am now putting in place at TPI, which I wouldn’t have had the confidence or learning to have done so before.”
“Completing over the course of last year Module No.1 in Law Practice & Procedure of Construction Adjudication as part of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), was a real challenge but extremely rewarding. It was difficult to find the time, but I would recommend it to anyone looking to gain further knowledge regarding dispute resolution and in particular adjudication. Having passed this first module, this meant I’ve become a fully-fledged member of the esteemed professional body. Later this year I’ll be hoping to complete the second module as I work my way towards achieving a fellowship.”
“Attaining full membership with the Association of Project Management (MAPM) has been a significant milestone for my professional development, as it recognises the skills, experience and qualifications I have built as a project manager over the years. I wanted to attain this as it meant that I had met the required professional standards for Project Management, and that this is widely adopted by other Project Mangers not only in the construction industry but in others as well. TPI provided the level of encouragement and support with my application that I could not have achieved this without their support. Moving forward, I aim to supplement this by becoming a chartered project management surveyor through the RICS APC process.”
“As a placement student from the University of Bath, my six-month experience at TPI has been invaluable. From day one, I was supported by a clear development plan, a dedicated line manager and mentor, and bi-weekly progress meetings. I’ve gained hands-on experience across live commercial, civil, and hospitality projects, with exposure to project management, quantity surveying, marketing, and event planning. TPI invested significantly in my development, funding training in BREEAM, ASTA Powerproject, CostX, and BrightSafe CPD modules, while also supporting my CITB Operatives Exam and weekly AI learning. More recently, I’ve attended meetings independently, a reflection of the trust placed in me and the progress I’ve made. I’ve also taken part in industry networking events, from a padel social in Canary Wharf to TPI’s very own Social Club. This placement has exceeded expectations and left me feeling confident, capable, and well-prepared to enter the fast-paced construction industry.”
Such great progress made across the board and many more successes to come. Well done team!
