20,000 sq ft CAT B fit-out of the third and fourth floors to the Maylands Building, for a new revolutionary infection prevention centre and creative workspace.

The opportunity

Following the successful completion of the Maylands Building refurbishment back in 2017, Total Project Integration were re-engaged by ESO Capital Partners UK LLP to act as their Landlord Representative for the office fit-out for their new tenant’s, GAMA Healthcare. As one of the UK’s fastest-growing companies, this project was a major investment for GAMA Healthcare for their training, research, and product teams.

The challenge

The fit-out works had over 16 tonnes of complex structural steel works. This included cutting through the existing floor slab for a large new feature bleacher staircase between the third and fourth floors. The steel was lifted directly through to the fourth floor via crane and a demolition robot was utilised to cut the hole in the floor slab. We ensured that the fit-out contractor’s proposals were swiftly and appropriately reviewed by the landlord’s structural engineer for approval. The project also included the installation of two floating boardroom-style meeting rooms within the roof’s pitch.

The outcome

The project was completed on time and to budget, with minimal disruption to the client’s existing tenants within the building.
