Energy Efficiency Improvements

TPI is supporting BizSpace with the delivery of a strategic, UK-wide upgrade programme across their existing property portfolio. Acting as Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, and Employer’s Agent, TPI is managing the design and implementation of site-specific improvements that contribute to carbon reduction and long-term sustainability targets.
While the programme aligns with regulatory drivers such as the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES), the broader goal is to enhance the environmental performance of the portfolio – delivering measurable reductions in energy use and emissions, and ensuring buildings are fit for the future.
With a portfolio spanning a wide range of asset types, including offices, studios, workshops, and light industrial units, each site brings its own set of operational, technical, and logistical challenges. TPI leads the coordination and sequencing of works, ensuring that processes are tailored to each building’s age, condition, and occupancy profile.
Key to the programme’s success is minimising disruption to BizSpace’s customers. TPI has implemented phased delivery strategies, tenant liaison protocols, and robust contractor management processes to keep sites operational during works, allowing businesses to continue without interruption.
This annual rolling programme not only supports BizSpace’s commitment to sustainable property management, but also demonstrates a replicable, well-governed delivery model for large-scale environmental upgrades across diverse, occupied estates. TPI has now been appointed to deliver the 2025 phase, covering a further 15 estates across the UK.
